Kathy Roberson went to the Emergency Room at Baptist Beaches complaining of chest pain she attributed to bronchitis. An EKG test showed the actual cause of the pain was a 95 percent blockage in an artery. Kathy, 47, was having a heart attack.
“People started swarming me and feeding me baby aspirin and nitroglycerin, and they’re telling me ‘you’re having a heart attack and we’re life-flighting you downtown,’” Kathy recalls. She remembers her response: “What are you talking about? I have bronchitis.”
“I could have died and I wouldn’t have even known that it was happening.”
Kathy has worked hard on her recovery and has changed her life.
